Delivered with a clear/passivated finish and no supplementary treatment, this Type III plating option is suitable for non-decorative indoor use, or as a base layer for subsequent topcoats.
The minimum thickness of .0005 inches (12.7 µm) meets many general engineering requirements for temporary corrosion protection, providing a clean, silver-blue appearance and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances on CNC-machined parts. This finish is widely used for fasteners, brackets, electrical housings, and more.
