Iridite Coating, also known as chromate conversion coating, is a chemical surface treatment used on aluminum parts to enhance corrosion resistance, promote electrical conductivity, and serve as a primer for paint or powder coating. Offered by TECHNO CNC, this finish is essential for aerospace, defense, electronics, and industrial-grade components.
Unlike anodizing, Iridite maintains the original dimensions of precision CNC-machined parts due to its micron-thin coating, making it ideal for high-tolerance applications. Available in both Class 1A (max corrosion protection) and Class 3 (electrically conductive) variants, this coating adheres to MIL-DTL-5541 standards.
TECHNO CNC offers both traditional hexavalent Iridite (yellow/gold) and RoHS-compliant non-hexavalent clear chromate options.
