Quick release flange assembly that connects a rotary joint to the journal with a flange instead of a threaded nipple. Removes the need to stock both right-hand and left-hand threaded nipples, and sealing is done by a gasket between the nipple tip and the journal flange. Fitting or removing the joint becomes a quick one-person job, with no risk of crushing the nipple with heavy pipe wrenches, and alignment problems are reduced.
