Steel D2, also known as HCHCr (High Carbon High Chromium Tool Steel), is a high-performance, air-hardening cold work steel renowned for its outstanding wear resistance, compressive strength, and dimensional stability during heat treatment. Its balanced composition of high carbon and chromium makes it ideal for demanding die, punch, mold, and cutting tool applications.
