Copper 101 (C11000), also known as Oxygen-Free Electronic (OFE) Copper, is a high-purity, non-alloyed copper material recognized for its exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity. With a purity of ≥99.99%, this material is preferred for CNC machining where minimal electrical resistance, chemical stability, and non-magnetic properties are crucial.
Thanks to its oxygen-free structure, Copper 101 is ideal for sensitive applications in semiconductors, vacuum devices, RF shielding, and aerospace, where even slight impurities can impact performance. Though softer than brass or bronze, Copper 101 can be precision CNC machined using carbide tooling and appropriate feed rates, achieving tight tolerances and clean finishes.
