The Ultrasonic Web Edge Sensor by Techno is a precise and reliable solution for detecting the edges of various web materials like paper, film, foil, and textiles in real-time. It forms an essential component of Web Guiding Systems used in flexible packaging, printing, and coating machines. Its non-contact ultrasonic detection ensures accurate positioning, even for transparent and delicate materials.

Designed for harsh industrial environments, the sensor is easy to install and integrates seamlessly with most automatic web guiding controllers.

The ultrasonic SU sensors are specifically designed for detecting the edges of materials such as paper, carton, and plastic film of any color, including transparent materials. The compact design ensures easy installation in all kinds of applications.

The size and connection of all models are the same, making them fully interchangeable on the web guide depending on the needs of the application. If two sensors are used simultaneously, the "centre guide" feature can also be selected from the remote control unit.

We can provide special versions of SU sensors, such as the SU-M.25-SKB with IP54 protection class for dust and splashing water and the SU.7-B.50, specifically designed for noisy working environments.

The sensor is equipped with a transmitter and receiver, providing a measuring range of 22 mm with a resolution of 0.1 mm. Special versions offer centesimal readings for enhanced accuracy.

Using two sensors simultaneously enables the "centre guide" feature: by reading both edges, the sensors guide the web while maintaining the center as the reference point.
